Seraph Group Launches Volunteer Paid Days for Staff at Bullies Out Pre-loved Charity Shop

28th May 2024

Seraph Group is proud to announce the launch of our Volunteer Paid Days initiative, a program designed to support our community and make a meaningful impact on local charitable efforts. As part of this initiative, our employees will be volunteering at the Bullies Out Pre-loved Charity Shop located in Wellfield Court Arcade, Wellfield Road, Cardiff.

Our staff have eagerly participated in induction sessions and till training, equipping them with the necessary skills to efficiently manage shop operations. With this training complete, they are now ready to pick up shifts and help cover the shop whenever needed. This collaboration not only supports the charity but also fosters a sense of community and teamwork within our company.

Bullies Out is a charity dedicated to tackling the pervasive issue of bullying. Founded in 2006 by Linda James MBE, the organisation was born from a deeply personal experience when her son was a victim of bullying. Linda’s vision is to address bullying by changing behaviour, as she explains:

“Bullying is a behaviour, we’re not born bullies – behaviour is what we need to change. We have more ways to bully now and it can go viral when it’s online. More people will jump in and take part and they don’t even know the person that’s being bullied. It’s affecting far too many people, it’s affecting their mental health, and we know that people go on and take their own lives. This is what we’ve got to stop.”

By volunteering at Bullies Out Pre-loved Charity Shop, Seraph Group staff are contributing to this critical mission. The shop not only raises funds for anti-bullying initiatives but also serves as a community hub where awareness and support are readily available. Our team’s involvement underscores our commitment to corporate social responsibility and reinforces our dedication to supporting causes that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

We are excited about this partnership and the positive impact it will have on our community. Seraph Group believes that by empowering our employees to volunteer and support vital causes, we can help create a more compassionate and supportive environment for everyone.
